Solomon HaileSelassie: Director
Solomon HaileSelassie was born and raised in DC and is proud to be a very-native son. He attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and Winston Salem State University. He received his substantive training at The Studio Theatre. His recent directing credits include Punching People You Never Met , Georgia Avenue Nocturne, Hello | Brother, Sonata, Carrie: The Musical (assistant director), The Rocky Horror Show (assistant director), Twisted (assistant director).
He is the Resident Production Designer/Manager for the Library of Congress, Resident Stage Manager for Longacre Lea, and Technical Director for The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington. He continues to be a non-equity professional stage manager because just because some small companies can't afford AEA level of labor doesn't mean they don't deserve it.
